Drop the vehicle off at the terminal
From Seattle: The vehicle needs to be at our Seattle facility no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Tuesday before the Thursday northbound sailing to make that voyage. Vehicles can be delivered before Tuesday and will stored in a secure area. Our Seattle facility is open to receive vehicles 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
From Alaska ports: Contact your local terminal to check southbound and interport arrival dates. Your local customer service representative will let you know when to deliver your vehicle and when it will sail.
Please Note
All personal vehicle shipments must be prepaid in full prior to loading to the barge.
Coast Guard Regulations require that vehicles contain R tank of gas or less when shipping.
An inspection of the vehicle will be done at time of receipt to note any pre existing conditions. Please allow ample time in your schedule when dropping off a vehicle. Party dropping off vehicle will be required to sign the Inspection form.
Once the inspection has been signed and the payment has been made the vehicle will be loaded to a container, so long as it does not jeopardize the condition of the vehicle, and be loaded to the barge for the next sailing. Due to various after factory add-ons, we cannot guarantee that any vehicle (because of it's size) will be loaded into a container until it arrives at our terminal. The terminal foreman will determine the safest way to ship the vehicle.
You may load household goods into the vehicle, please leave room for the driverýs seat and note that the release value is $.10 per pound.
The following articles may NOT be shipped in your vehicle: Hazardous Materials, Items of Extraordinary Value, Goods Shipped for Sale or Speculation, or Firearms.
If the vehicle is overloaded to the point that it is a safety hazard the materials must be removed until it is safe. These items may be consolidated at the warehouse for an additional charge.
